Snoop Brings the West Coast Vibe to a Hyped Crowd
After years of anticipation, Snoop Dogg finally made his return to Christchurch in early 2024 — and he was well worth the wait. Taking the stage at Orangetheory Stadium with his signature laid-back charisma, the West Coast legend delivered a show that was equal parts celebration, nostalgia, and pure entertainment.

Backed by a DJ, dancers, and a giant screen of throwback visuals, Snoop moved through his massive catalogue with effortless cool. Tracks like “The Next Episode,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” and “Gin and Juice” had the crowd moving from start to finish, with fans of all ages rapping along word for word.
Despite the years, Snoop hasn’t lost a step — his voice, stage presence, and timing were razor sharp. Between songs, he played to the crowd with classic banter, humour, and just the right amount of smoke and swagger.
What stood out most, though, was the sense of fun. This wasn’t just a gig — it was a party. Whether he was leading a sea of phone lights or gliding across the stage with a blunt in hand, Snoop made it clear he was there to give Christchurch a night to remember.
A timeless showman with an untouchable back catalogue, Snoop Dogg proved once again why he’s a living icon.
